ABOUT ME, AND ABOUT MY PUPILS
I teach piano and singing at my studio in Chalford Hill (exclusively) to pupils of all ages and abilities from Monday to Friday. (Not weekends)
At present my youngest pupil is six and the oldest is over sixty.
I've had considerable success in coaching young singers and pianists
prior to their auditions for music colleges and conservatoires, and some
have gone on to become professional musicians.
I also prepare students for auditions, recitals, amateur musicals and small
opera productions, and many pupils have won prizes at important competitions.
But some people come just because they love music and are not too worried
about scaling the heights. (Pun intended!) They just want to play or sing well enough to
entertain a few friends and family, or strictly for their own enjoyment,
and that's fine by me.
Many of my adult pupils fit into this category, particularly adult beginners.
The most important consideration is that everyone should enjoy their music
whether it's a Bach prelude, a song from 'Les Mis', an operatic aria
or the latest Robbie Williams hit.
